'A State of Mind' is a current project I am working on.

 

It deals primarily with the theme of male mental health and the discourse surrounding this subject. I seek to explore the complexities of this difficult and thankfully currently more discussed issue within society.

 

The primary work and one that initiated this series is 'Surface' (oil on canvas 2022). 

 

Through the research and analysis of historical works in relation to mental health and the depiction of the male figure within art I hope to realise images that can connect and tap into a better understanding of a long ignored issue. I will chart my progression of these works through this section of the website and will update with related exhibitions and shows these will be involved with.
